Once a home, for another's life
Simple, yet safety made
My use discarded, left aside
From waves to shores I laid
Ground by storms that drove me in
From the waters I had known
Worn and shattered on rocky bays
Away from sheltered home
I have been crushed, battered, broken
Corroded by stormy wakes

Through all, a treasure made and formed
Precious I have stayed
For, beauty comes in many forms

And beautiful I remain

New Zealand, Aotearoa, the land of the Long White Cloud, is known for its beauty,  known its unique creativity and ingenuity, and known for its natural tapestry. For us New Zealand is also home.

At the beaches we see calms, and storms; we have walked there through the sands, enchanted by the shells that have made their way to these bays.We have been left wondering where they have been and how they ventured ‘home’. These mysteries and these shells are treasures.

Rusty Bay Treasures describe the jewels we produce inspired by our shores, natural shapes forged in precious metals. Each is hand polished and finished, to retain its individual character and texture from the shape and essence of the shell that inspired it. Natural beauty captured in Silver and Copper shells.
